As a hotel management trainee, you’ll be working throughout the hotel and will gain in-depth insight into all areas. Direct contact with guests is a key part of the role – both in service and at reception. Behind the scenes, you’ll take on administrative tasks, which means you’ll also be responsible for planning events and conferences, placing orders, handling payments, staff planning and much more.

Duration: 3 years (can be shortened to 2.5)

Your day-to-day life with us

Your responsibilities and areas of work

Service & Kitchen: The first major focus of your training is service. At the Elldus Resort, you’ll have the chance to get a taste of three different types of catering.
Reception: The second main focus of your training takes place at reception. Here, you’ll learn about the processes involved in the hospitality industry, get a behind-the-scenes insight and discover everything you need to bear in mind when dealing with guests.
Housekeeping: Here you’ll develop a real eye for detail, which you’ll need as a service provider. You’ll get to know the different categories of accommodation, so that you’ll have a thorough understanding of them later on at reception and in marketing, and can advise guests accordingly.
Marketing: We’ll teach you the basics of marketing, how to conduct effective sales conversations and how to communicate with guests over the phone.
