Apprenticeship as an Events Manager
Event managers are responsible for the planning, organisation and execution of events of all kinds. For company parties, concerts, conferences and trade fairs, you’ll be responsible for marketing, staffing and budget planning, as well as the actual running of the event. Once the event has been successfully completed, you’ll review everything with the client. You’ll then compile a report to serve as a basis for future events and planning.
Duration: 3 years (can be shortened to 2.5)
Start date for the training programme: 1 August
Vocational school: Riesa
- Reception / Bookings: You’ll learn about the processes involved in the hotel industry. In the bookings department, you’ll then learn how our booking system is structured behind the scenes, how to create offers and what you need to bear in mind when doing so.
- Experience Teams: In the Experience Teams, you’ll get to know the target audience – families with children at the Elldus Resort – very well, and can then draw directly on this knowledge when planning events.
- Marketing / Events & Conferences: You’ll learn how to organise events and plan staffing accordingly, as well as everything you need to bear in mind when doing so. Finally, you’ll run the event, taking responsibility for specific aspects of the event or conference.
- Accounting: Here, you’ll be introduced to the basics of business administration. From working on a computer and monitoring incoming payments to paying invoices – here you’ll learn all about the financial side of organising an event.
- Secondary school leaving certificate, (specialised) A-levels
- Organisation of a wide variety of events and conferences
