Would you like to spend a year doing something meaningful, working outdoors in nature and looking after animals? Then a Voluntary Ecological Year (FÖJ) at Elldus Resort is just the thing for you!

Whether you’re looking after our ponies and goats at the pony farm and petting zoo, or helping to preserve and shape the surrounding natural landscape – you’ll be right at the heart of things, not just watching from the sidelines. In the process, you’ll gain valuable experience, learn new things about the environment, sustainability and animal husbandry, and you might even discover your future career path.

Your day-to-day life with us

Your responsibilities and areas of work

Pony Farm: Looking after our ponies, goats and small animals (feeding, grooming, mucking out, maintaining the pastures, etc.)
Support for horse-riding activities for children and families
Helping out at pony-themed events (e.g. children’s birthday parties, activity days)
Landscape conservation
Maintenance of our extensive natural areas around the resort
Suitable for use in natural-style landscaping and greening projects

What you’ll need

Your profile

A love of animals & no aversion to farm work
An interest in nature, the environment and ecological landscape management
Enjoys interacting with guests – especially children
Team spirit, reliability and a keen interest in practical outdoor work in all weathers
